- The Transsexual Empire: The Making of the She-Male
- by Janice G. Raymond, 1994. No book has done more harm to the transgender community than the first printing of this title in 1979. Beacon Press reprinted it in 1994 without revision. If you really want to read it, borrow it or find a used copy.
